The World's Longest Sudoku Puzzle

Are regular sudokus starting to seem too easy? At 21 feet, 9 3¼4 inches long, and with 8,929 empty squares to fill, this huge puzzle adds big excitement to the popular game. It’s composed of 167 regular-sized (9x9) sudoku puzzles, linked together at 3x3 corners. Among the noteworthy features here: each individual puzzle’s starting numbers are symmetrically placed in the puzzle, and no more than 30 numbers are given. Also, each 9x9 puzzle has a unique solution: no two are alike. And, finally, the difficulty level increases as you progress from left to right, becoming quite formidable by the end.

5Great Fun!  Mar 08, 2007

This was a fun one, took me 12 days! I liked it so much I sent one to my Mother-In-Law who got me addicted to Sudoku in the first place. :D

5For the Mathaholic  Jan 21, 2012
By R. Koch "RKoch"
Bought this as a Christmas present for our Sudoku loving nephew. The thing unfolds the length of a room, with puzzles getting progressively harder as you move along. He loved it, and spent the better part of the time we were together working through it...in pen (which is totally beyond me!). If you have a someone into Sudoku as much as he is, he/she will love this book.

5Addicting Fun  May 24, 2011
By Kimberly Sacha "raisin99"
This was really fun. I couldn't put it down. I'm now buying a copy for my mom.

I would rate most of the 9x9s as "easy." Only a handful even took me more than ten minutes, but then I do quite a few Sudoku puzzles.

Not sure why the other reviewer said one mistake blew the whole thing. As far as I could tell, each 9x9 was self-contained.

A word of warning: I'm not into checking my solutions, but in case you are, the 9x9s aren't numbered. So, while there is a solution on the back, it would be very difficult to check your answers.

The worlds longest Sudoku puzzle is really awesome. If you enjoy sudoku, the challenging connecting boxes will be a great test of your skills. I would definitely recommend it and perhaps ill even get it again after i finish this one

5Where's the sequel?  Feb 09, 2008
By M.A. Bell "retired teacher"
I enjoyed this very much; it was fun to work on when traveling or just relaxing at home. Only problem is that I can't find out if there is a sequel for those of us addicted to Sudoku. Anyone know if Frank Longo created a #2 edition?
