Good content but poor presentation - try another NYT collection instead Nov 21, 2007
By K. W. Schreiter This volume collects 365 New York Times crossword puzzles originally printed between 2000 and 2004. While the series is not in chronological order, it does follow the normal Monday to Saturday progression of difficulty. Daily grids and clues each squeeze onto one 6" x 9" page and Sunday puzzles span two pages. Be forewarned that most of these puzzles have appeared in recent NYT crossword calendars and other reprint collections. The small pages are bound like a paperback novel so the user must awkwardly hold the book open while solving. While this is perhaps the only NYT volume that features both daily and Sunday puzzles, I'd recommend any number of other excellent NYT collections instead of this one. I prefer the page-a-day calendar for its better portability, the `Black and White' book for its better aesthetics or any of the larger collections for their page size.
