Great set of Crosswords Oct 15, 2009
By J. Christensen If you like crosswords, this is a great companion to the The New York Times Little Black (and White) Book of Crosswords. Although it is the "Christmas Edition" there are only five true Christmas crosswords in the back, the rest are normal crossword puzzles. The first 100 or so are fairly easy, after that they do get hard. The Spiral binding makes them easy to copy, I like to do them on a single sheet. The paper is high quality. Overall a great value.

For the Crossword Puzzle Lover Feb 07, 2010

I bought this book of crossword puzzles for my 80 year old mother - she loves it! She took it to Florida last winter and worked crossword puzzles on the beach every day. She liked the larger-size print, the clean layout and the spiral binding.

I didn't think I liked crosswords. Feb 14, 2011
By Katrina Donovan OK, here's my confession. I bought this for my husband for Christmas, as he's halfway through another Will Shortz crossword book and loves it. One night, on a whim, I thought I'd try a puzzle, despite never having been very good at it. I couldn't put the thing down and quickly started to get into the groove and, I must say, was pretty pleased with myself. So I'm clearly not a crossword guru, but I can say I enjoy this. Just the perfect challenge for me.
I love the way this book is made with the spiral binding. I have a Sudoku book (also Shortz) with the same construction and it's just as fabulous. Easy to work on a new page without having to fold/flatten the pages down. The edges don't fray like some spiral bound books do. I can take it anywhere and it doesn't get beaten up, as the front and back covers are hard. It's a built solid to last!
