New York Times Acrostics Jun 21, 2009 Challenging and mind absorbing. I like it because I can start a puzzle, lay it down, and take it up again. Sometimes the answer comes after I have laid aside the puzzle for a time.

NYT Acrostic puzzles book Oct 15, 2008 This was a gift for a friend's birthday. He liked it but I was a wee bit upset that the cover of the book was bent. Looks like it happened before packaging.

NY Times Acrostic Puzzles Apr 27, 2008 This is a nice collection. Some fairly easy and some that really challenge your imagination.

High quality as always Mar 19, 2006 The NY Times acrostics are always challenging, which I love. If you are new to acrostics, or just want some that are a little more "mindless", then I suggest the Mensa acrostics book, they are much easier.

Several significant typos, but still rewarding Mar 11, 2006 I've completed 26 books of this type (Acrostic, Acrostix, Crostic, Crostix ...), and in the others, typos were rare and insignificant -- they were in the clues. This book has several instances of mislabeled letters, a few cases where "(two words)" was missing, and one case where "(two words)" was on a one-word answer but missing from a nearby two-word answer. I was still able to solve the puzzles, however, and I enjoyed them.
