5well thought out book of kakuro puzzles  Mar 19, 2007
    By V. Brown "llacharbach"
very well thought out book of kakuro puzzles. the table in back
is an exhaustive set of combinations for every number of squares.
puzzles are challenging, perhaps not a good first book of kakuro
as the 243 puzzles are challenging (even the beginning ones), as
    the title says.

    5Amazing collection of puzzles!!!  Oct 11, 2007

Simply the best cross sums I've ever done. Cross sums (Kakuro) fans will be positively giddy with this collection! I was sorry it came to the end.

5Great for more advanced solvers.  May 05, 2009
By Jennifer K. Walsh "Mommy of 2"
I had chosen this book because it starts out with with moderetly challengin and ends with extremely challenging. I did not want any easy or medium level puzzles. I wanted a challenge from beginning to end. I am in the middle of the last section now. sometimes it is so difficult I go nuts trying to figure it out and have to put it up for awhile so I can give myself to get a fresh perspective later. This is just what I wanted, a really challenge. There is plenty of room on the pages to make notes and the boxes are big enough to right your list of possible answers, which you really need both in this book.

I would recommened this book to anyone.

3some good puzzles, but deceptive labeling  Feb 18, 2010
    By G. Croner
My main gripe about this collection is the cover says "Over 200 tough puzzles." While there are over 200 puzzles in the book (there are actually 243), only the "Extremely Challenging" set of 81 puzzles are tough enough for experienced cross sum doers. 81 is a lot less than 200 and so I'm giving this just an ok rating.

    3Not enough guidance...  May 11, 2008

This book will be a five star if I ever become better, but I thought this was going to be more ready with the hints and work you up in levels.
