The Big Book of Tiny Kakuro Puzzles Jan 25, 2007
By Fred
"Fred"
The front cover shows puzzles that are 13x22 spaces (if I remember right), but every puzzle inside is only 10x10 (9x9 effective, since the top and left lines are not open). This is fine for beginners, but is a big disappointment for anyone used to bigger puzzles. It is also rather deceptive advertising. My suggestion would be to buy the Dell Kakuro Cross Sums magazines (less than 3 dollars at Wal-Mart), which comes out quarterly. I find them much more satisfying than the "bite-size" puzzles in this book. BTW, Dell has been putting out these puzzles since 1950 under the title "Cross Sums".

Cover is deceiving Oct 24, 2007
By puzzle mom There are lots of puzzles in this book but the cover is deceiving showing a large puzzle when actually there are four small puzzles per page. They are not very challenging and appear to all be the same difficulty.

How I made the most of these small puzzles May 08, 2009
By Leslie M. Carter After 20 years of Cross Sum addiction, this was given to me and I thought it would be way too easy. So, I made lemonade...or more precisely, my own little travel / waiting room entertainment book, which is less than 4 sq inches. These small, "bite size" puzzles do vary in difficulty, so I cut a number of them out from random places in the book, strung them on a book ring and carry them with me. Some can be done with little thought, others do take a little deduction, and you always get the satisfaction of completing the puzzle!
Great Book for Kakuro lovers Oct 21, 2011
By Jill Prehn The Big Book of Kakuro Puzzles has something for everyone. 940 puzzles are divided into about 312 easy, 314 medium, and 314 difficult puzzles. They progress in difficulty as you proceed in each area. I have already completed about 6 of these books and am ready to order more.
