Not bad, too easy Jan 09, 2008 I think the puzzles are big enough, despite the other reviews. If they were any bigger, there would be no room for the date (it is a calendar, after all) or solution from the previous day. My only complaint is that all of the puzzles are really easy. It would be nice if the puzzles were of varying difficulty. Other than that, it's alright. The back of each puzzle is completely blank so it can be used for notes or whatever.

terrible Jan 03, 2008 I bought this desk calendar hoping it would be as enjoyable as the one I bought last year (the brand/name of which I don't remember). This one by Will Shortz is terrible in that like the previous reviewer said, the grid doesn't fill up most of the page so that you would need a grain of rice to write all your number notes in the boxes. I had to return this calendar. Very disappointing.

Way Too Small! Jan 02, 2008 I've enjoyed Will Shortz' sukoku books very much. In 2007 I used a USA Today day-to-day Sukoku calendar. This year I received Mr. Shortz'. I have two complaints.
First, the sukoku grid is far too small to be used - you'll have to transfer the numbers onto another sheet of paper to work on the puzzle. (I created an Excel spreadsheet for this purpose.) Second, the answer to the puzzle is on the next day's calendar. This might work fine for some but I don't always to the puzzles in date order (I'll get behind or decide to do one of differing degree of difficulty.) That means that I might very well have thrown away the results.
The USA Today version (at least the one in 2007) had a larger grid and had the answers to a puzzle printed on the reverse side of the calendar page.
