5I Play Sudoku While My Husband Sleeps!  May 07, 2007
By Jojonellie
I love this little handheld game. I have two of my own and have purchased two for friends. It's backlit, so you can play in the dark. I have been playing on the same two batteries for a long time (every night for two months) and that includes all the time I fall asleep with it on. You can play with or without the sound on, which comes in handy sometimes. The little stylus pen becomes very second nature after a game or two and I really liked the $7.99 price...much lower than some other models. All in all, it's a great item at a great price!

2Not backlit as advertised  Aug 18, 2007
By Nan B. Spier
VERY disappointed. Purchased prior to a trip overseas, and backlight never worked. I could use it in bright sunlight, but never at night or in airplane. Numbers were very difficult to see without backlight. It only cost me $8.00 so it wasn't worth sending back.

4Well made and entertaining but with some obvious gaps  Jan 20, 2008
By S. Rajagopalan
To be fair, the game does what it says it does - and that it does very well. The instructions are pathetic though and fail to mention that:

1. It took me little while to figure out that I could return to the main menu by keeping the "C" icon pressed, instead of taking out the battery each time.

2. The unit goes auto off after a defined time when you turn the back light off.

3. This is REALLY irritating, and may have been a deal breaker if I'd known: wrong entries flash, and there's nothing you can do about it. There should be a way to turn off this "Help" function.

4. There's no way to clear a puzzle to start over.

Despite these criticisms, I'd buy this again. After an extensive hunt for a better alternative, I'd have to say that the size, price and basic convenience of the backlit touch screen can't be matched.
