5"It's fun!"  Mar 31, 2007
By Mary D. B.
My daughter bought this with her own money and is very happy with the purchase! She has always loved puzzles and logic challenges, but had never done a sudoku-on-paper to completion (on her own, or with help). Yesterday when she received this Sudoku puzzle game, she did one right away (independently), and says she finds these "much easier" (and more engaging) than those on paper. (I think that the large, easy-to-read tiles make it "easier" as well as the hands-on quality which make it both a kinesthetic and visual task.) The only complaints I have are that the tape used in packaging left a few sticky places on the underside, and there are no replacement tiles (should you loose one); it comes with the exact amount needed to fill the board. Of course, having the exact amount and no extras, also helps her see which ones still need to be "used" in the puzzle as she goes along, so this may be a help in it seeming "easier," as well. Although the box says, "the go everywhere game," I would not consider it suitable for travel, because if you place the board on too much of a slant the tiles slide out of place. This is not a problem for us, as we intended to use it at home. It has a handy storage compartment underneath and clear plastic cover to help protect a puzzle in progress. In short, we are pleased with the purchase and find it very satisfying.

5Sudoku Game  Dec 15, 2009
By Rockster
My wife likes to sit at the kitchen table every morning and do the Sudoku game in the paper. The problem is that the Sudoku game is in the section with the comics and other things I like to read. So, in essence, she is hogging the comics section in the morning, and I have to wait until she is done to finish the paper. When I saw this game board on Amazon, I decided to purchase it for my wife, so I could get the comics section in the morning when I had the time to read it. This was a good decision.

The board comes with red and black numbered tiles and a 9x9 game board with slots that the tiles fit into. So, the first thing my wife does in the morning is get out the board and then open the comics section to the Sudoku section and place black tiles on her new board to match the game in the paper. From then on, she uses the red tiles to fill in the blanks until she solves the puzzle. If she makes a wrong move, she just rearranges the tiles. The black tiles are the ones you start with so you know which ones you can move becasue they are always red. So now, the comic section is always available to me, and she can spend however many hours she wants solving her puzzle. She has taken the board with her on trips so she can do her daily puzzle wherever she is. Her sisters liked it so much when she visited them, that we bought several more of these boards on Amazon and had them shipped directly to her sisters. Bottom line is that this was a very good investment for me, and it keeps the little lady happy - A win-win situation for our household.

5Stimulating number game!  Mar 27, 2011
By Jane Austin
I loaned my cousin the game I purchased and ended up buying her one too. When she had a knee replacement surgery, the Sudoku game gave her something to work on while in the hospital and at home rehabilitating. She even worked on the plastic numbers from the Sudoku game to fill another Sudoku book that someone gave her as a gift. I like to get it out when my brain needs a little exercise!
