Monster Sudoku

Sudoku has taken over the world. The simple 9X9 puzzle has spread everywhere to become the most unexpected and spectacular success, but if you're finding Sudoku a bit tame these days, then "Monster Sudoku" is the answer. "Monster Sudoku" contains the numbers 1-9 but also the letters A-F, creating a monster 15X15 square. The 201 puzzles in this book range from delicious, through pernicious, malicious and finally the eye-wateringly hard vicious Monster Sudoku. They are designed to perplex and frustrate you, to obsess you and, finally, to alienate you from your friends, family and pets. Good luck!

5Not your usual Sudoku  Oct 03, 2006
By Jude
I found this book after having tired of the typical 9 x 9 grids and immediately fell in love. There are four difficulty levels (delicious, pernicious, malicious and vicious) using 15 x 15 grids. Fill-ins are 1-9 and A-F. At first it was odd to use both numbers and letters, but it didn't take long to adjust. The harder puzzles are not so difficult as to be impossible, and all of the levels are a terrific challenge. If you want something other than the usual boring 9 x 9 grid, give this one a try. This is really a fun book!!!

This book will keep you interested forever! I pull it out whenever I ride the bus, at dinner when my spouse goes to the bathroom, even before bed! I'm so challenged by the possibilities that I am hooked for good! What in the world do I do when I'm done with this one?

5Monster Sudoku by Alastair Chisholm  Jun 25, 2007

This book is a lot of fun for those who have gotten tired of the glut of easier 9-square sudokus and are looking for something more challenging but not frustratingly impossible.

5A Unique Challenge  Jan 02, 2010
By Lokesh "Mediator"
I bought this book at a local store because I sought a new challenge. Containing 625 grid squares can be rather intimidating. However, if you apply yourself you will soon become obsessed with the challenge. When I'm engrossed in the 25x25 grid my mind is focused only on the task at hand. It is equivalent to deep meditation. Doing monster sudoku has given me better concentration skills and helped develop a higher level of patience that also serves me well when tackling the really hard 9x9 grids. Ironically, these puzzles help relieve stress and satisfy my interest in ever harder mental tasks.

This monster sudoku is different then the other books I have purchased. It is a bit more of a challenge because the squares are 5 across and 3 down.
