Really good Kakuro book Apr 17, 2008
By David H. Copp Really good Kakuro book. There are four skill levels, accurately assigned. Large squares. I have only two minor complaints: some puzzles have long ladders of two-square numbers with identical sums; if you get one of them all the others fall into place, and the puzzles are printed on sandpaper. Buy the book, buy lots of erasers, and enjoy!
Not bad Jun 03, 2010
By H. Kahl Once you have completed the Black Belt, Brown Belt, Green Belt series of Kakuro books and the Mensa Kakuro book, it is really slim pickings out there for quality challenging puzzles. This book is OK but as the other reviewer noted, the paper is rough and eats up erasers. The first two sections are a waste of time for experienced solvers. There are a few challenging puzzles in the second half. This is the only book I've seen that includes "sums" of only one number, which is ridiculous. Fortunately, there aren't many and are mostly in the first half. The price is cheap. There are no errors. If you've run out of Kakuro, this one is OK. Notice that almost all the Kakuro books were published in 2005-2006 - only a few after that. Apparently, it didn't catch on all that well. I find it much more entertaining than Sudoku.
