5great puzzle for preschooler  Feb 11, 2010
My 4 year old daughter loves stickers, but hasn't had much experience solving puzzles or using logic skills. She also loves Diego, so this was a great way for her to start thinking about how to solve a problem without having to write any numbers (very shaky skill for her) or spell anything. It is a great way to get kids thinking! I love that the stickers are easy to remove and put in a new place so we don't worry about making mistakes.

4Great entertainment for my four-year-old son  Dec 29, 2008
These sticker Sudoku books are great. After sitting with my four-year-old and helping him do a few of the puzzles, he figured it out on his own and it was good for independent play.

This was a great activity for the car, or for some quiet time at the table.

At first the fact that the stickers that are added to the sudoku puzzle were smaller than the squares bothered me, but I imagine it was done by choice in a developmentally appropriate way. If they filled the whole square, the child would have to have fine motor skills to stick them properly.

The only other thing that would make this book easier to use would be some sort of different placement of the stickers used in each puzzle. They are located -- in order and clearly labelled -- at the back of the book, but it's difficult to go back and forth to grab the appropriate sticker. To make it easier for my son, I pulled off the stickers he would need and stuck them by one corner on the puzzle he was doing, so that he could find them easily.

One good point is that there is an extra sticker of each type, so if the child sticks it improperly, there is an extra one.

The fact that these books offer a stimulating activity featuring children's favorite characters is a winning combination.

5Sudoku Diego  Nov 16, 2008
This book of Sudoku is great for young children ages 4 or 5 through 6 or 7. They start understanding the rules for Sudoku and seeing patterns. This book includes extra stickers in case of a mistake. Children of the appropriate age love these books. It is too bad that the stickers are not coated with Post-it-Note glue instead of the permanent type. The book goes fast, and then you have to buy more books.

5GREAT FOR LITTLE PUZZLE PEOPLE  Sep 04, 2007
My 3.5 year old has loved jigsaw puzzles since she was 1 - she can now easily do a 100 pc puzzle. So the next step for her was Sudoku which she watches me do. Loving stickers, this is a perfect match for her - puzzles+ stickers. I have to help her w/ the first 1 or 2 placements, but then she usu finishes the puzzle. I've bought more to help hone her skills
