The title is Jigsaw Sudoku, but ... Dec 27, 2006
By Senor Brujo The title of the book led me to believe that the book contained only Jigsaw Sudoku puzzles. In fact, the first 160 puzzles are regular Sudoku. Since I've done hundreds of regular Sudoku puzzles and have become bored with them, I was a bit disappointed to find that this book contains only 35 Jigsaw Sudoku puzzles and 5 of what are called "Big-X" puzzles which are Jigsaw Sudoku puzzles in a Samurai Sudoku format.
The regular Sudoku puzzles range in difficulty from Gentle (40 puzzles) to Moderate (40 puzzles) to Tough (40 puzzles) to Diabolical (40 puzzles). The Jigsaw Sudoku puzzles range in difficulty from Gentle (5 puzzles) to Moderate (10 puzzles) to Tough (10 puzzles) to Diabolical (10 puzzles). The Big-X Sudoku puzzles range in difficulty from Gentle (1 puzzle) to Moderate (4 puzzles).
Since I was expecting a more intense Jigsaw Sudoku experience, I've given this book a middling rating.

disappointingly few jigsaw sudokus in this book Jan 18, 2007

With a title like "jigsaw sudoku" you would expect the book to contain mostly jigsaw sudoku puzzles. However, out of 200-some puzzles, only 35 are jigsaw sudokus. Very disappointing.

Most misleating title. Feb 02, 2010
By C. F. Crowe The title has no bearing on the contents of this cheaply produced product. This encourages me to stay away from future books from this publisher. Do not purchase this book.

Major disappointment! Jan 28, 2008
By M. Liggitt Finally received my copy of this book today, after over a month of anticipation. Eagerly, I opened it and...wait, what is this? Page after page after page of normal, boring sudokus! Just a handful of the jigsaw type at the back. An utter and total rip-off, especially considering the price point. I wish the other two reviews had been in existence before I ordered back on December 19th; if I'd known then I would never have considered this title. So! If you're looking for a book that's mostly normal sudoku, and you don't mind paying for the nose through it, this is the book for you! If you're looking for lots of jigsaw sudokus...look elsewhere.

I WISH I HAD READ THE FIRST REVIEW!! Feb 27, 2012

The bad rating is purely because the title is misleading. I usually read at least several reviews before choosing a product, but I'm so crazy about Jigsaw Sudoku that I didn't do it this time. I just saw the title, and, like the first reviewer, assumed that this was a book of Jigsaw puzzles. Sudoku is a progressive skill. Once you have done them for a while, the standards can become a little boring. I know some people like to work different levels of puzzles randomly. This book would work for them.
