Brilliant! Apr 29, 2010 This series of sudoku puzzles by Frank Longo are absolutely brilliant. They are not available in Australia (at least not at a reasonable price), so I'm really glad Amazon have made them available for sudoku fans worldwide.

Disappointed - Easier than level 1 and no Mensa Logo/Stamp Mar 12, 2010 I finished all the puzzles in the level 1 book and found them to be quite challenging so ordered level 2 expecting them to be at least the same level. I should have returned it when I noticed that it no longer carried any reference to MENSA but I figured it would still be a good book. My mistake. The puzzles are much easier than those in level 1 and hardly challenging any more. I am afraid to try level 3 as I no longer trust that the book pictured and described is actually the one I will receive.
Great Puzzles Feb 11, 2010 I got this book for my wife who is a Sudoku addict . . .Got all four levels, but only gave two to start.

If You Like the "Beware! Very Challenging" Puzzles in Will Shortz Books Feb 04, 2010 I've been working a number of puzzles in books edited by Will Shortz and wanted a book of puzzles that were equivalent to his "Beware! Very Challenging" designation, without the easier puzzles. This is perfect! In fact, I think some of the puzzles are slightly harder.
So far (60 puzzles in, of a total of 242), I've been able to solve all the puzzles. But they've made me think. And some I've had to set aside overnight and approach with a fresh eye the next day.
As noted by other reviewers, the spiral bind is good for working puzzles, the book is a good size for working in your lap, paper quality is good and the grid sizes reasonable.
NOTE: This book does not have any solving tips or instructions. If you don't already have some idea of the rules and how to solve puzzles, I'd recommend an easier book that does have instructions. I have not used the Mensa book, but I've heard it's good. I was given the following book and found it very understandable and informative, with plenty of puzzles in a nice progression of difficulty:
Sudoku For Dummies
Challenging Jul 14, 2009 This book is very challenging. It requires total focus. I would definitely buy a similar book again.
