5Great Sudoku Book For Beginners  Apr 11, 2008
By Clementina Breuer
I love this book. I searched high and low for a book that i could easily understand the rules and how to play. I couldn't understand the adult versions no matter how hard i tried, then i bought Kindergarten Sudoku and this one came with it as a package deal. Finally somebody got it right. Step by step puzzle examples they do some puzzles for you step by step in seperate boxes to show you how to get the answers, not just writing them in. It makes sense. The grids are large and the numbers clear. Some of the art work is distracting, it's very large and all over the place, but it's a cute book. I recommend this book for adults and children of all ages. By the end of the day i almost finished the entire book. This is a great way to really understand the rules and how to play Sudoku. I give this book 5 stars!

5Highly Recommended  May 08, 2010
By Peter Kattan
This is a good book on Sudoku for kids. The book includes only 48 puzzles half of which are simple 4x4 grids and the other half are more difficult 9x9 grids The solutions are at the end of the book. There are no categories or levels of difficulty for the puzzles.

The first two pages in this book are dedicated for strategy, hints, rules, or tips. All the puzzles in the book are Classic Sudoku (with numbers). There are no Alphabet Sudoku (with letters) or Symbol Sudoku (with shapes and symbols) like the two books "Kindergarten Sudoku" and "Preschool Sudoku". Also, there are no simple 6x6 puzzles like some of the other books.

4Great book for beginers  Jan 17, 2010
By L. Wagner
I bought this book for my 7 year old and she really liked that it started out very easy and then progressively got a little harder. Great way to introduce them to Sudoku with numbers. Previously we had done the Spongebob and Dora books with pictures, but she needed to move up.

5great for the small child  Oct 31, 2011

Great beginner Sudoku book. My 2nd grade son is all about math and processes so these problems intrigued him. When he gets stuck he sneaks a peak at the solutions in the back so he can get 'started' and then he completes the rest of the puzzle.

5ESL student loves the challenge of Sudoku  Jun 07, 2011
By Martha W. Bonney "Bonney_Blue"
My ESL student is better with numbers than with words; numbers seem to hold their meaning more securely than words. So I bought this book for her to learn the number puzzle Sudoku. It was a struggle at first. The book starts with several pages of 4x4 squares and gives learners plenty of opportunity to understand the basics before moving on to full-size puzzles. You have to be able to see what number is NOT there, in three dimensions (row, column, cell), which is a reasoning skill that can be nurtured, then applied to other situations in life. After she finished this book, my student went out and bought another Sudoku book, a sure sign that this wasn't just another homework assignment.
